We are seeking a full-time Research Associate with a BS or MS to perform virology and related assays to support the development and characterization of vaccine formulations and to assist and support process development and manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in learning about viruses and vaccines and be a team player that shares the founders' passion in bringing these vaccines to patients. Preference will be given to candidates with previous laboratory experience in tissue culture and molecular biology techniques such as tissue culture-based infectivity assays, immunological assays such as ELISA, and RT-PCR.

The applicant should be responsible and possess a high level of integrity. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment. They should be capable of following protocols and instructions, work both collaboratively and independently, as well as possess analytical skills. The candidate should be eager to learn new topics and techniques. Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively organize work are required.

Key responsibilities

This Research Associate will work with scientists and perform the following tasks with supervision:
Maintain mammalian cell lines and virus stocks using aseptic techniques
Perform virus potency assays
Design and execute formulation assessment studies
Perform analysis of samples from manufacturing process development work
General lab maintenance, including stocking inventory, order requests, and inspections
Compliance with lab safety rules and regulations following Company guidelines
Maintain detailed, accurate, and up to date records in lab notebook
Summarize experiments, discuss findings with supervisor, and present data and interpretation at lab meetings
